What brand of acid reducer do u like best? I know it can cause C diff, but I take it every other day but omoperazole give me has and I saw a few Entyvio warriors face book page they are given Peptic AC or that brand before their infusion. They have two different ingredients so has anyone tried the peptic AC and liked it better ?
Just confirming too ASACOL is discontinued right? To totally different questions.
Thanks

"As of April 1, 2013, the medication Asacol® is no longer being distributed in the United States. Once the supplies currently in pharmacies are out of stock, the product will no longer be available. While Asacol® is no longer being distributed in the United States, the manufacturer; Warner Chilcott has replaced it with a product called Delzicol™."

I liked nexium Otc I got it in the hospital
When I was discharged they gave me 40 mg Prilosec because insurance covers that
I'm not sure if it didn't work as well or being on ppis for so long reduced their effectiveness.

I use Zantac. It's not a ppi med.
They don't cause c.diff.......but I assume you might have meant lower resistance to gastro infections?
What's the reason you'd be taking them? And how would Pepcid AC help before an infusion...I know little about
that.

omoperazole causes c. diff? I didn't know that. Why?
I am on that one now and I don't really feel like it does anything.

they don't cause c.diff......they do lower the acid protection allowing some invaders to get through the stomach to the rest of the gastro tract.
Of course, some are resistant to acid anyway....even better it seems.

Dexilant is great because it's a dual release PPI. I used to get wicked indigestion even on other PPIs. And yes, they are a risk factor for cdiff...I didn't know that until I got cdiff.
