Today is my daughters 22nd birthday, and the one year anniversary of the first surgery to remover her colon. Bittersweet, but mostly sweet. I was a mess this time last year( cause it's all about me, lol). Thought I'd take a time out to thank my HW friends for helping us through this journey. You were here for me in some dark days.
She is doing great. Moved away for law school, new friends and boyfriend, a healthy glow inside and out. The year off was one of healing and hope. Her doc's say she was the best case scenario. Not an unexpected blip in the 3 step process.
So glad you are all out there. Thank you. Keep fighting, keep hoping, keep healing.

What an inspiring update! Wishing her continued success. Given her age, it makes me smile to think of her full life ahead of her and all the hope and promise her surgery brings.

So happy that she is doing well. It seems like the best possible outcome, no more drugs, no more worry about UC.

Wonderful to hear! I wish her the best through law school. I have a daughter in her 3rd year. It goes fast.
