Cool new faculty position at Purdue - Food and the Human Microbiome

I ran across this today - it's just now being advertised, so it will be a while before someone gets up and running, but this could result in some interesting info for IBDers.

Here's some text from the job description: "The incumbent is expected to develop a nationally-recognized research program in microbiome research to study impact of pathogenic and commensal microbes, probiotics, prebiotics, or functional foods on microbial communities (microbiomes) relevant to human health and wellness."

q, thanks. I'm not sure how much I'll post - I just don't feel that I have a ton to contribute.

nssg, nope, I won't apply. I'm not qualified (PhD is in horticulture), but I also have decided I don't want a tenure-track position. The stress and expectations for performance are such that it wouldn't allow me to be the mom I want to. My kids are more important to me than money!
