Usually I swim but I started walking again.
The trick here is to be as empty as you can be before heading out. You can line up your walk where there is a restroom along the way for peace of mind. Take some kleenex, water. You can even wear adult depends (I like Prevail) again for peace of mind if you need.
Most of us are afraid of possible accidents but even if something happened you could just wash off with water - wear dark shorts/pants. Nobody would ever notice.
Seems like my whole life I've struggled with leaving the house to walk, swim, jog, hike for fear of accidents, but it's really worth doing it. Exercise has healed me mentally and physically in many ways. Lately I've put myself in a frame of mind that sort of says "here I am world, if I get sick or have an accident, oh well...it's just me" and I know in the back of my mind there are still loving and forgiving and accepting people out there that would be understanding. Ok that's HEAVY! LOL
The other day I did 5 miles!!
