Annoying pop-ups

I am an iPad user and I am already having issues with my iPad anyway so these annoying pop ups are making it even more difficult for me. I have a desktop with Firefox and ad blocker but I have a hard time typing because I've had 3 hand surgeries. I understand the need to generate funds to keep up with the cost of running a website but I fear that it's going to make people less inclined to join or respond.

This was a while ago.

Spam folder shows if there's anything new in it.

No...no response. I had to email to see if it was received. He was sick or busy or something. Understandable, but felt like a dis.

no...it hasn't. very frustrating.
But so is the fact that signatures aren't automatically added to ANY posts.
Yeah, the ads are worse.

Earlier when I was browsing around I saw the usual pop-up that's been around for the last little while but this time around today I haven't seen it yet, I hate how it slides in on the right side of the screen and partially covers over the page, I don't care about the ones that are on the right side just hanging out so long as they aren't flashing or trying to cover the page as I'm reading it.

Two mods report seeing only the ads that slide in from the right-side. Most others haven't seen any at all. I haven't seen any on my phone, myself.

I wasn't seeing them earlier, now have been for the past few days. My blockers stop all the other sorts of pop ups, but not these.

Any news? It's literally every time I visit this site. And it's the same one every time. It's so annoying and it's been weeks now...

The ads I see are with Chrome on [my Windows] XP [laptop].
They roll out from the right side, and have two varieties.
1) They roll across about half of the screen, and stay their, covering the posts, until I click on the Hide tab.
2) Same as one, except they launch videos with audio, and won't let you close them for several seconds.
I do not have an IPad or IPhone or IAnythingElse. All my access is done from a laptop.
And yes, they are still here. I had to close multiple ones to get to post this.

Yes, they [popup ads] should be gone now for mobile devices. You still might see sliders, [described above] on the desktop[, as we're not removing those].

So, here's what you should be seeing now, if you're seeing something else then let me know: There is a rectangular ad at the top, one or more rectangular ads on the side. No annoying popups blocking everything until an X is clicked to close them (what originally caused the uproar), especially bad on mobile devices. The slider ads on desktop/laptop computers are here to stay. I think, you have to place your mouse cursor over them before they slide (not sure on that as it's been a while since I've used a pc for healingwell).
