Anyone get these? I have my whole life for no aparent reason. Just curious if any of you get them?
It is annoying but also because I am so anemic I really can't afford to lose more blood.
I know it's only a couple teaspoons but it seems like so much more when it soaks 15-20 tissues.
Yuck sorry for being so grafic.
I got a new humidifier today so hopefully that will help somewhat.

What kind of humidifier did you get?

Yes..i get them often in intervals, especially after a cold or sinus issues or drying air in winter.
Have you used a sinus rinse product?
Are your sinuses usually plugged or feel swollen?
Is your blood pressure on the higher side?

I got a Honeywell cool mist
My old one stopped working. ( dif brand)
My sinuses are clear and i am actually hypotensive (65/50) is my baseline.
But I get em in the summer too.
It's possibly genetic cuz other relatives have it as well.
I also put moisturizer on a q tip on shove it up there.

i was getting them for many many years (since i was little) because i have chronic rhinitis and allergies. i use a humidifier daily in my room and dont really get them anymore. i also think nicotine increases mucus production so that might also factor in with my lack of nose bleeds these days. i use my saline flashes a few times a week to keep my nose all clear as well.

oh and make sure you get the disinfectant drops for your humidifier. they are A LIFESAVER. mold can easily grow in those machines and then you end up breathing in moldy water instead of clean water. i get the drops from sears or home depot and use them every time i fill up the tank with fresh water.

My oldest would get them out of the blue. Usually in winter and when the air is very dry. Blood would just pour out his nose.

I went to Phoenix a few years ago and started getting nose bleeds after a few days there. It didn't occur to me that the dry weather would be a problem. I went to the drug store and bought saline nasal mist and used it a couple of times per day and the nose bleeds went away. Mary

What are th drops for the humidifier called?
What saline rinses do you use?

Also putting a few drops of lemon juice in the nostrils will help stop the nosebleed as well as prevent.
