Well, here it is. Another adventure of chasing my tail.
Almost 6 or 7 months of being able to maintain my colitis symptoms through 8 Apriso a day and diet, the time came that my Collin didn't wantto play"nice" anymore.
So the last 8 weeks I threw in some UCERIS in the mix to settle down my colon.
Couldn't sleep at night for a long time and am taking FLORAZAPAN
30 MG.
Last night I forgot to take the sleeping pill, woke up at 12:40 AM,and was shaking like a leaf. In addition to some very heavy duty paranoid nightmares my stomach was getting flare symptoms.
I was told by doc last week, we have to move away from UCERIS, and he recommended ENTYVIO.
Does anyone out there have long term experience with ENTYVIO?
Anyone else on sleeping pills? Any advise for all my issues

I see you've taken apriso, did you combine it with a meslamine-based enema like rowasa? That's usually the maximum for the first level of uc treatments.

The second level of treatments are immunomodulators. Have you tried immunomodulators (Imuran, 6mp, aza) as usually they are tried before biologics like entvyio. Immunomodulators usually take 2-3 months to work though.

The third level of treatment is biologics. Entvyio takes up to 12-14 weeks to work in some, very slow working. Other biologics are quicker working (remicade, humira, or simponi) often within 6 weeks.

You are right! I have plenty of rectal mesalamine and will start taking tonight!
Hummm, I just saw my GI last week and he didn't even remind or ask about it.
He is so rushed that if he is behind ( pun intended) he has to make up for time for the next patient and gets flustered and doesn't remember everything unless YOU remember and remind him! So my advise for patients is BE ON TOP OF YOUR OWN STUFF BEFORE YOU GO IN.
Usually I am, "butt" I let myself fall through the cracks on last visit!

I have another follow up in Dec, and will print your message about the 2nd tier of melds before ENTYVIO...still need info on people who have been taking it for more than 3 months though
