Hey everyone, first time poster -- so hello!
Question: I've started taking hydrocort enemas at night and cortifoam in the am. Has anyone ever tried using a fleet enema to clear the way first? ...So the medicine would absorb better (maybe easier to retain too) Haven't seen much on this, would love your thoughts or experiences. thanks!
Background: I've had mild UC since 2005. Since then, i would have minor flares that i could remedy with Asocal. Then this year i experiencing a long mild flare (9 months worth that wouldn't go away with normal treatment) followed by, WHAM! I got hit with a bad flare 3 months ago -- Blood., serious pain, big weight loss...etc. So i switch doctors. Began treating with Lialda x4 day. And rowasa enema x2 a day. I also tried did a month of Butyrate enema x1day. And elimination diet. Everything seemed to help but i can't kick loose stool and on and off D. So i went in for a flex sig scope and dc said still have active colitis. about the first 7 inches, still red and irritated before seeing the health colin. (i was a awake so i saw it).
