Interesting, I thought about this when I started Aza and immediately I had a couple of warts spring up on my hands that must have been dormant for twenty years - it made me wonder about the HPV virus elsewhere. I don't think any women are warned of this when they take immunomodulators, I certainly wasn't. I think that women on immunomodulators should be advised to use barrier methods when having intercourse and on immunomodulators, and should be offered regular smears. In the UK the smear testing programme does not kick in until the age of 25 which might be too late for young women who have had their risk upped by being on these drugs young.

I don't think I was warned either but I was hardly all there when I started remicade and imuran. I was sedated for most of that time because I was doing really poorly. Thankfully the morning after remi I was doing well enough and they stopped knocking me out.
