Alternative to Asachol HD?

Aschol HD is working wonderful for me but my insurance company no longer covers it and I can't afford to pay it out of pocket. The list of alternative meds they gave me are:

Balsalazide Disodium
Apriso
Lialda
Pentasa

Which one would be closest to Asachol HD? Does any of the above have prescription assistance cards avaialble?

Sure, here's links to the patient copay assistance programs for the various brandname delayed-release mesalamines, which are closest to your asacol hd.

The Balsalazide Disodium (aka colazal) is a bit different. It doesn't have a ph-based delayed release chemical coating on it. Rather, Balsalazide is a more complex molecule that your intestinal bacteria break into mesalamine and a byproduct.
