Only Mucus/pus/some blood during BM? is it Proctitis?

Hi this is my first post here. For the past two months now, I've been having a lot of mucus/pus/ some blood discharge no matter what I eat. I've been diagnosed with UC for 15 years now, but I don't think that this is a flare up from my UC because I don't have diarrhea. In fact its 95% of my stool is just mucus and pus and blood especially in the morning. I do have an anal itch too. However, once a day I do get the urges (and i mean urges that i cant hold it any longer) and then i pass actual stool, but again not diarrhea. I'm also afraid to FART because its usually wet fart lol i know its gross but we are here to help each other out. I've tried probiotics digestive enzymes etc,. nothing is working. I've never experienced this even when I had flare ups from my UC. Im only on Remicade for my UC and that's it. I believe its Proctitis. again only pus/mucus/clear liquid multiple times a day with some blood especially when i wipe. what do you guys think?

You do not need D for it to be a flare. UC can change symptoms from what you experienced in the past or maybe the D is waiting in the wings, who knows. IMO you should add a rectal med (suppository or enema) inserted at night to nip things in the bud.

If you did not have urgency it could be hemmies causing blood but urgency indicates inflammation which could be proctitis but once you get a UC diagnosis you have to call it that not UP.

Are there any OTC RECTAL meds or should I stick with prescription drugs?

The ones that will help you the most are RX with mesalamine (called salofalk in Canda). There are OTC Vitamin E suppositories but you need medically proven meds for bleeding: Rowasa enemas (also available as generic) or Canasa suppositories. These are the US names, in other countries they are called Salofalk or other names but they all have the same RX meds in them.

There are also steroid rectal meds and if your bleeding gets worse you could consider using them first and after you've finished with those switch over to the maintenance type of Rowasa or Canasa.

the rectal meds could treat.

if it is pus in addition to mucus, that indicates infection. might check for c-diff.

you should have something with Remicade to prevent it from stopping work. might get tested for Remicade antibodies.
