Yep been there. It resolved finally after hitting remission tho there are times I still can't trust a fart.

That is what I have dealt with on more than one occasion. Have been dealing with that now slightly over the past couple of weeks but not totally horrible. I call that the urgency issue. Can hardly make it to the bathroom when it does come on. Can't always. I have noticed a increase of the # of times I'm going to the bathroom in a day. One day last week I went five times. Having some cramping when that occurs. And I do see a watery, mucosy type stuff, have had a little bright red blood at times when my stool wasn't soft, my gastro doctor always told me to stop consuming any fiber during that time, but did even though it has fiber also recommend I use Metamucil as it would regulate things. I'm torn now between using that or stool softener or both. I have to take a stool sample in to them tomorrow for them to check for bacteria but I doubt they will find any. My stools look very normal otherwise, just only when I have the issue of gas mentioned above by others. I've read about C Diff and it appears worse symptom wise than what I'm reading here. And I have that fissure that I know has bothered me on more than one occasion. I thought I would faint from sticker shock last week when they called me in the Canasa suppositories 1000 mg and even with my Express scripts insurance 30 cost me $249.86. I have to go in and see them Thursday.

There would be absolutely no reason for them to tell you to discontinue them, unless it's an uninformed person passing a fear of the unknown rather than fact.

My practitioner did no poking and prodding. Did feel of my stomach. I told her the main issue I have is with mild cramping and bloating feeling. She asked also how many times I'm going to the bathroom now, I told her once or twice a day now. But I noticed really bad stinging when using the bathroom. She does think the many rounds of antibiotics back in April through July for a lingering sinus infection may be responsible possibly even though that's been over 5 months ago. Some she said were very strong. I know I was consuming yogurt during some of those times, just not all. I did get to meet Dr. Ziad Younes who will do my colonoscopies moving forward since my doctor of 29 years retired October 1st. I feel good about him. My practititioner told me continuing the suppositories is good since it will take care of the inflammation and also said to use the recticare cream I have for the pain in the rectal area so I will do that when needed. I go back in 6 weeks and they will do another stool sample.
