I survived the first week off of prednisone. At what point do you know if it will "hold" or if things are slipping back into flare mode? I got my period Saturday night and had some terrible cramps all day yesterday which always irritate my colon. I haven't seen anything bad UC-wise as of yet (no blood/mucus), but it was noisier than normal yesterday and it felt a bit achy. I am still on 4 lialda a day and nightly rowasa enemas. Thanks!

After 1.5 - 2 weeks post-prednisone, is my safe zone where can assume I am free and clear. Some do flare several months later though... I tend to think lower odds.

periods tend to mess things up
good luck, I think if you get thru the next week you might have cleared the post pred flare

It is pretty terrible that we have to go through this! Today I am feeling much better, no noisy colon today. Fingers crossed.
