Has anyone "leaked?" Over the last 2 weeks I've noticed discharge on my underwear. No poop, just mucus I'm guessing. Sunday I noticed it was greenish so I thought perhaps I burst an abscess or something even though I've had no symptoms. Yesterday, no discharge but it's returned today.
What is going on?
I continue to be at 6 day, mostly formed...a few days here or there I go down to 4 (I think it's residual Imodium when that happens) No b or m.

Could be infection.. could you possibly have developed a fissure?
I would suggest you check in with your doc considering you have had abscesses in the past.
Do you have any rectal meds?

Hi Q....I'm guilty of being too lazy/sleepy to do rectal meds. Will start now and be diligent. Seeing GI next week...will ask.
Also wondering if it could be related to eating cheese. Been eating a lot and heard that cheese causes mucus but haven't researched.
I know fibre has helped me in the past. I've been really reluctant to try anything as I don't want to slip back to 15-40/day. 6 has given me at least some quality of life back. Will the fibre slow things down or just bulk my stool?

I'd say not unless you're very much lactose intolerant and have eaten a LOT.
I've never had it from that, but doesn't mean you're not.
Since you mention urgency....make the rectals a good friend at bedtime ;-)
What are you using, by the way?
Why are you tapering the Pentasa (is that oral or rectal?)

I'm on monthly IVIG, and Entyvio. They wanted me to reduced pentasa by half (now on 500mg x4) since it really wasn't doing anything. There hasn't been any change in reducing.
Couldn't George Clooney be my bedtime friend?

I had an episode like that when I was a small child. Stuff just sort of oozed out and I didn't even notice. I remember being embarrassed about
it and not telling my parents...just stuffed toilet paper in my crack and went about
my business. I have no idea what caused it...a truly "leaky gut?" I always think back to that wondering if it was my first IBD episode.

"Couldn't George Clooney be my bedtime friend?"

Do you have hemmeroids? I've noticed leaking issue so it's 'rounds (usually clear or yellow for me). I also get a lot of oil residue when I'm using suppositories.... When I've been worried about
this type of leakage I wear a pantyliner strategically placed over the butt area.

Q- Fantastic Idea! I'll name him George:)
Uniform-- how did your surgery go? Do you still have that dull ache in your butt region? I'll email my chiro now and see if he's finished his case study on me. I'll send you a copy if you'd like.
Too Much---no I don't think I'd have a hemmie....I've been using liners; but it's a drag...still tryin to maintain some sexiness with this disease!!! lol
