I'm recently coming from 2 flareups one last summer and one during the christmas period. I changed my medication from humira to remicade when the cortisol and humira didn't seem to help in November and I noticed a huge difference. So I got to remove the cortisone, but now during the christmas period I began having my worst flareup to date with 30 toilet visits/day, I had to visit the emergency and since my daycare hospital isn't open on christmas I got to change the dosage my self. I started with 10 mg since I really hate cortisone, 2 days later I was down to 1-2 toilet visits a day, so even such low dosage seem to work. I was tapering it down and I have been free from it now for 4-5 weeks, but during the last couple of days I've begun to get worse. I'm having the feeling that my adrenal gland isn't producing enough cortisol for my body to have a good effect, I think this because I've gradually upping my weight training each week and the last 2 weeks I've been at my top performance again and since hard muscle training requires cortisol to dampen the inflammation I have a feeling that not enough cortisol is being produced to cover for my colon and my muscles. At least that is my thought, does anyone have any knowledge surrounding this? It could be worth noting that I've been excessing my whole life playing, I got UC when I was 15 and I had to take cortison for 4 years, I'm now 21.
