Low Dose Naltrexone

my name is toby, im 21 years old an for almost 6 years I deal with IBD. First Crohns, in november 2015 colonoscopy put outside it changed into ulcerative colitis; especially in rectum, sigma, left side.. I have bleedings since 2010, had anemia..etc.

I'm young and want to do the best for me, since January I do the scd diet ( avoid sugars, grains..) and I'm very interested in "low dose naltrexone" Lots of people report good results.. :)
Im really curious and hope you can share your experiences with this opiodantagonist, i read its very usefull for help heal mucosa lining, stop inflammation and supress stressed pro-inflammtory cytokines in the gi tract.

I haven't been on traditional meds until Imuran lowered my WBC very low. I've been in remission for years. Liquid form is the only form I've used, but it's quite inexpensive. You dissolve 50 mg ReVia (Naltrexone) in 50 mL of water, so 1 mL is 1 mg. I pay about $110 CDN for ten pills every six months. I would suggest you look up the clinical trials so that you can see how it's helping some IBD people (or I can also find some for you).

Like John said, it doesn't always work for everyone. It may take a couple of months; it took me about two or three weeks to see my symptoms settle down (I was mildly flaring at the time). You have multiple forms of the drug available. You can use it in a transdermal form, liquid, cream, and capsule (be careful of the filler, though!). Some people went on a strict paleo diet. I stayed on that diet for a year, but I introduced wheat and other processed foods into my diet with a little problems, so I'd suggest, that if you don't stay on that diet, to introduce some foods slowly.

You may have loss of appetite, dizziness, and possible nausea. I know I did, especially when I slowly increased my dose, even by .5 mg/mL. Some people use only 3 mg, while others may use 4 mg, 4.5 mg, or even 3.5 mg. People with M.S. usually take only 3 mg.

I'm not only any other supplement or medication. LDN seems to work well for me and my UC. It may not help everyone, like other drugs. I'm not going to sell it to you, or any other drug. All I know is that it's working for me. It may not with you.

The method, to stop supplements and medications before start LDN is often reported from people..When Did you stooped all supplements and medications and what was your starting dose?

Hmm. Some people stay on other medications when they include LDN, and some must quit the other meds for a reason (when the meds stop working). I'm the latter. Imuran lowered my WBC and my platelets. I wasn't on any supplements at the time. I started at .50 mg/ml, then increased my dose every two weeks. I had to go slowly to reach the dose I'm at now (3 mg).
