Off of Prednisone, normal stool, but pain

It could be gas, it could be a sign of things to come, not sure. How quickly did you taper off of prednisone? A very fast taper can cause issues.

i've once read a medical article which says that when patients taper prednisone or biologics, they are so much afraid (even subconsciously) of their symptoms to come back that they start to develop other, often severe, symptoms, pain, discomfort etc. although there's no real inflammation in the colon. I don't want it to sound like a negligence, but it may also be your case ( especially your saying that the pain depends on the location of stool in the colon shows you are extremely stressed out overanalyzing things). I often talk with people from the Indian uc forum and believe me, there are so many persons there who went through horrible meds and situations and now they are feeling great in complete remission. So if you can finally taper prednisone, your colon is healthy and you are healthy as well :)
