Here is an interesting N=1 triple antibiotic case study.
read the parts in the conclusion about the possibly two different MAP phases.
How many trials do they have to do, I wonder.
Big bucks in biologics, are cures suppressed, big bucks in all IBD drugs.
IBD has gone so long without a cure,my cynical nature starts to wonder.
Yet all the docs around the world cant be in on it,or is it govt institutions like the FDA
when they approve IBD drugs whether intentional or not limit possible cures and just treat
the symptoms.
What happens when the antibiotics are withdrawn,is it just the anti-inflammatory effect.
Then of course IBD may not be cureable, hopefully we will find out sooner than later.
The reason I am becoming more cynical is I now see what is going on with IBD drugs
and insurance with my son, no generic asacol yet. Poor coverage of brand name expensive
mesalamines, the newer 5-asa drugs low amount active med. With many of the 5-asa you have
to watch which ones go of where in the gut, and how that is accomplished. Some need gut bugs,
what happens if you have low counts or the wrong ones, some us ph, suppose your ph is not correct
in certain parts of the intestine.
Another strange fact is that just about all IBD drugs suppress MAP,even biologics.
