I am currently on Lialda 3.6g. I want to know anyone using Mesacol OD, which is similar to Lialda.
Mesacol OD is from Sun Pharma ( India).

One isn't better than the other. It depends on your digestive tract med coating compatibility regarding release. Are you living in India?
Why do you want to change?
Are you also on rectal meds?

quincy-
I don't want to change from Lialda, but I met someone who is moving to India and they are exploring mesacol OD to replace Lialda. The cost is less than $1.75 for 10 1.2g pills (lol).
I am on Canasa supp 2 times a week. I don't live in India.

I'm not familiar with Mesacol OD, not many people talk about
it on this forum. I'm sure it's as good as the rest are.

I am curious to know why we in US are paying so much for the same medication when compared to other countries like Canada, India etc.,
Canasa supp is sold as Salofalk in Canada by the same pharma company for $70 (30 -1000mg).

Pretty much no generics in the usa, all brand-named medications. Shire and other big pharmaceutical companies are using and abusing patent laws to make sure they're no generics available. Some here order medications from Canada, ordering from India is less common.

I think there is a pharma drug price control / regulation in place in Canada and several countries which in US we don't have.
FYI- A generic of Remicade is introduced in India by Ranbaxy
