Corticosteroids?

I need to ask. Do I have to go to my doctor and ask for corticosteroids everytime I see blood?

How much blood and where are you seeing it? For example, a little blood when wiping on your tp, blood slick on water, or blood on in stool.

Generally if your symptoms are worsening then it's a good idea to call your gastroenterologist. Better to catch a potential flare early then later.

I think it depends on the symptoms/type of flare. I can usually tell when just my rectum is acting up and then just increase rectals (can be mesalamine rectals only if I catch it early). If the flare involves my colon also then some type of steroid is required for me.
