Pseudopolyps

Has anyone else been told this was their findings after their colonoscopies? Has mine yesterday and was told since it was these types of polyps that I have they cannot remove them. Just kinda curious what do they do then. I was told they would discuss with me at my 2 week post op after she gets my bioptsy results back.

the left side of my colon that I had removed was riddled with giant pseudopolyps and that area was constantly bleeding slowly causing my anemia. I had so many you couldn't tell if there were any normal polyps which can become cancerous. The surgeon at that time said trying to find a normal polyp in my colon was like trying to find a weed in a field of flowers.

Thanks for the replies, I was really nervous the Dr. didn't offer much info about it. And they did tell me I was riddled with them too. They took pics and gave them to me and it looked really bad.

I think the reason they can't remove is because of "riddled" and not because of type.

It will be interesting to know if they have any specific comment on these in your treatment plan.

mine couldn't be removed because of size and amount, they can't get the loop around them to cut them off during the scope like normal polyps. They are vary abnormal shapes and many had thick bases where they attached to the wall of the colon

I had a bunch of pseudopolyps with my last scope in january
doc was not concerned he said its normal (although it seems my dx is changing to CD, I shall see soon)
