Good day! My name is Kelly. I have suffered with UC for over 11 years. I had non-specific abdominal pain last Friday, which I usually pass off as the norm for having UC. But, for some reason I felt it necessary to see my PCP for this new symptom. She ordered a cat scan, I had it done expecting nothing to be found. The results of appendicitis came back, I almost said,"lets just live with it and not do surgery," but on second thought, I got it removed. 5 days ago, I had my appendix removed. I feel like a new person, no mesalamine suppositories, enemas, no prednisone, no special diet. Yes, poop is normal, no pus, no blood, no mucus, soft drk BRN poop. Not light colored, it sinks to the bottom of th toilet like a submarine on a mission. I work up without muscle aches, fatigue, or pain in my abdomen today. This is the first time in years, I have energy!! I have my life back! I feel so good, I have cried. This may end, I may have bloody stool tomorrow, I may feel abdominal pain and in an hour from now, but I must share this story with you. If, you have been suffering for years like me, you have accepted life to be substandard, and please don't give up hope in feeling better again someday. You deserve more! Don't be ignored! Your docs have no idea what you suffer with! I have hope for a good future for all of us, love Kelly
