Extremely traumatic night/day.
I got ivig.
Saw surgeon who drained perianal abscess in her office. Just freezing. I was screaming. Sweat so much that I soaked through gown & sheets.
70cc's of pus came out. Not to mention the d. The smell was vile.

Oh dear! how awful for you, I just hope you are going to be okay now, at least that's the worst over I would have thought...hang in there!!

That's so horrible. I honestly don't think surgeons realize how painful and full of nerves our anal areas are... I had a horrific and traumatizing experience years back with a complex fistula.

Have they ever tested the access to try and find out what (if any) bacteria might be causing this issue as you have gone through this a few times now I believe. I mean there must be something directly causing the issue aside from general IBD? Maybe.

Hope you find some relief soon now.

Wow! That is all so horrific. I really hope things will be on the upswing now for you and the IVIG kicks in quickly. I can't imagine the amount pain you must be in.

If you guys hear screaming, it's me having my first poop after that very violent assault on what was already a very raw area.

I thought I heard a scream earlier today in here New England.

Sounds painful, sorry you gotta go through all of this. Uc truly and thoroughly sucks. I think it would qualify as cruel and unusual punishment and be torture under the Geneva convention rules.
