Update: I saw my GI today and it went really well. It could not have gone as well as it did without your support and encouragement.
I ended up writing my GI an email that explained how I had not been truthful in the past...
he was so kind and understanding in his response

I made up my list of questions and gave a copy to my GI and we went over all of them together. he had very good and informative answers. I really learned a lot at my appointment today.

Congrats, glad it went smoothly. Nothing more frustrating than not getting all of your questions and concerns answered from your doctor. So, I'm glad you now have a system that works well for you plus a better understanding and communication line with your doctor.

I'm glad it went so well for you.

I find writing down and giving a copy to my GI of all my questions and symptoms is a way for me to hold myself accountable and not skip on stuff, also these office visits can be very overwhelming and I forget to ask questions if they are not written down.
