Hello,
I don't post to this forum often but I have posted in the past - I've been on several different types of medication that have not really worked (including 6MP and Remicade - although Prednizone does stop the worst if there is a really bad flareup).
However I had started Entyvio about 13 months ago and I believe I'm in almost full remission. That is the good part and it is great to have my life back again.
However, around October of last year I got sick - initially I thought it was the flu as there were flu like symptoms - and I got over most of those except the coughing. I've seen my primary care physician and so far (and after a few different treatments of antibiotics later) it has persisted. I spoke with my GI today and after describing everything (and it not looking like asthma or acid reflux-which I have never had) he seems to think it might be related to the Entyvio and they noticed similar reactions in other patients. I asked why did it take so long for symptoms to manifest - and it didn't seem like there was a clear answer on that. Anyway, I'm seeing a pulmonary specialist soon to see if we can't examine this further.
The symptoms are usually wheezing (some resistance breathing in and out), sometimes sore throat, and often coughing (sometimes productive) several times daily. So on paper it does seem like an infection, but I'll see if I can get more details from the pulmonary specialist as well.
Has anyone on Entyvio encountered anything similar?
Thanks for reading!
