My tolerance for things has gone way down since I started having active UC. It's like my body can tolerate chemicals of any kind. I used to be able to have a glass of wine with dinner, now I can't even get through half a glass without feeling drunk... and I'm sort of hung over for a couple of days.
I am noticing this with many things.
My liver checks out as OK in the blood work, but I know that doesn't make very much. There could be sub-clinical problems that will never register.
What I want to know is if anyone here has the same experience, of increased sensitivity, as a result of having UC? I know we can develop things like cholangitis but that's different than what I'm talking about.
Is liver weakness a thing with us, and is there a way to make it better?
