Question for all you 9-5ers. Once a week, I drive to a satellite office which is about an 1.5 hour drive. I pick up my coworker who doesn't have a car. No big deal. However, the last two times, he's been late. For those that know me, know I absolutely hate waiting for people and i HATE being late. Both times, I waited patiently although my insides were killing me and I was filled with rage. I get sometimes things happen that make us run late, but this latest example has me beyond incensed.
As I mentioned, the drive is an hour and a half, so we get up early. Yesterday, we arranged to meet at 545am. Which means I got up at 4 this morning.
I pull up to his place a few minutes early, send him a text that I arrived, but no rush. Well, 5:45, turns to 5:55 which then turns to 6:05. So, i decided to call him - went straight to voicemail. UGH! I couldn't get ahold of him at his place either because he lives in one of those communities where they buzz you in. And since it was so early in the morning, no one was there.
I got tired of waiting and eventually went to the main office and skipped the trip to the satellite office. My question is for those who carpool - should I have waited longer? I didnt hear back from him until 10 minutes ago saying he just woke up and forgot to charge his phone.
Again, I can't stand being late, so my anger is probably a little misguided hahaha
