Hi,
I've had some blood in my stool for a while. Just a little, not much.
BUT over the last few weeks my stool has gotten black and I now have bloody urine and abdominal pain on upper right and left sides, low fever.
I was on 3-day dose Bactrim for blood in urine.
Then, double strength Bactrim for blood in urine. I stopped this two or three days in because I was so sick. (With doctor's permission)
Then, went in with patchy throat. So I was given Omnicef. Took 3-4 days of it and got sicker so she told me to stop it.
I had every test under the sun done - liver is fine (blood work and ultrasound of it). Kidneys perfect. As of one week ago. Gallbladder and colon appeared inflamed but they're doing more tests. My WBC count is a little high and has been for some time now...like months. Drs do not know why it is elevated.
The last time I went to the ER, (a week ago), they thought I had C Diff. So they gave me Flagyl, which did help me some. I couldn't provide a stool sample until I had a couple of days of the Flagyl and the C Diff was negative by then. So my primary dr said stop the Flagyl...about 3-4 days in.
For a week I've had to resist the urge to go back to the ER. I'm having major major anxiety. Fear that I'm dying.
Now, I have a bad headache. Abdominal pain. Blood pressure is a little high. Low grade fever. 99.5. Nausea.
Dark dryish stools all day today. They're dark brownish black. Urine is either either brownish or dark yellow or clear. With blood on toilet paper. Not my period. Not anemic that I know of. I do not take iron.
I am going to the GI dr Monday. Going to schedule a colonoscopy. Hopefully this week.
What do you think this could be??
Colitis with a UTI? Colitis with kidney infection? Kidney stone and colitis? Ulcerative colitis? Gallbladder? Polyps? A parasite like hookworm? (I have dogs - one that had a worm for a while) Something worse?
