Got my scope report today

Had my post scope appointment today and the polyp my Dr removed was inflammatory, nothing to worry about other than making sure we keep my inflammation down. The other biopsies all showed UC, this is always a worry for me since only CD is confirmed in my family. However, my inflammation had spread 2 cm further, to 26 cm instead of 24 from three years ago. Since I was flaring mildly when I was scoped my doc did a quick check today and saw now sign of inflammation this afternoon. I got the ok to drop to rowasa every other night for a month and then every third night thereafter for as long as in willing to use them. Overall I pretty pleased with the results, and am actually happy with my course of treatment. Glad my doc is ok with keeping rowasa long term. Sticking to 4 Lialda a day for now as well.

Yeah...seems an odd place for a solitary inflammatory polyp.

How often do you get scopes?

Q- It was every three years, getting one next year to see what's going on. If nothing new shows up next year I get to wait two years for the next. I also thought it was odd, but my dr said that he has seen this before with patients who present with a ceacal patch of inflammation in the past but he wants to watch it. As he put it, it isn't common, but it isn't rare either.
