Could body pain be UC related? jow.does one know?

Hello. I am wondering if leg and body pain is UC related. I have been Experiencing lots of pain that reminds me of growing pains. Has been going on now for a week.

I don't know that I ha e gone into remission since I was hospitalized this summer with newly diagnosed pancolitis which was previously proctitis. It seems that if a miss just a day of mesalamine ensnare thee is blood and mucous straight away albeit not a lot.

I have also had intermittent low grade fevers. Ugh. It seems to be getting worse,the pain that is. I took reg tylnol this morning but it did nothing. I justtooka hydrocodine - hoping that helps. My normal Annie zip is just not there.

hard to say. it may be coming form the joints and feels like it radiates. i hurt even when not using the muscles.

If you're having low-grade fever along with the body/leg pain & you haven't been exposed to a viral bug lately, it could indicate UC inflammation. You may also need a change in Rx med because it's not good for the bones or joints to take Prednisone or other steroids longterm. Your doctor could test blood for ESR & C-reactive protein levels, which are indicators of inflammatory activity, if you don't want to pursue scoping right now. / Old Hat (36 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)
