Time to call the doc again

I'm going to my 5th round of Entyvio and my symptoms are almost as bad as they were when I started. I called the doc two weeks ago and he added uceris and proctofoam. Now I also have hemis inside from the urgency - I'm at the point I'm putting so many things in my butt, I don't know what goes first- literally. Is it okay to use foam and then follow it with hemmroids cream?

I'm so frustrated, feeling crumby, and I don't feel like there is any hope for improvement. It's been two years (approx) with these symptoms. Enough is enough. Idk what else the doc can do but I guess I'll have to cal him on tues when the office opens. Idk what I'm looking for by posting this, but I just need to talk to people who understand. Any maybe might have some advice.

Certainly lets us know everything that you're currently taking and have tried in the past. It's frustrating when nothing is working and 2 years straight flaring truly and bitterly sucks.

It's maybe a bit premature to give up on entyvio. I'd give it 10-12 weeks at least.

Considered surgery?

Have you tried Remicade? I think that would be a good idea. 5 months, you should have had a result if you're going to. Are you on imuran or 6mp with the entyvio? How about c diff test? Have you been checked for pathogens? I know it sounds less problematic when it's "Just" proctitis, but i too suffered with debilitating proctitis for a while, so i know it can be pretty awful. People have had surgery for proctitis, but you have a lot of options still. I think you should go see your GI asap so you can figure out the next steps.

I used to use all the rectal stuff at the same time - unfortunately, none of it worked well enough for me that it was worth the effort.

We were going to do remicade but the doc says Entyvio is better at just targeting the gut and usually as effective as Remicade. I'm willing to try anything though.

I called him today and he said he's gave me the choice of prednisone for 6 weeks or corto enemas nightly, and I chose the latter. He said I should see an improvement in two weeks and if not then we need to do more blood work and more tests bc maybe it's not proctitis.

Unfortunately I've had c diff before and I am confident imthatbits not that this time. I remember how bad that God and how quickly it came on. So fingers crossed. It's 4:40pm now and I may just do an enema now and watch tv just so I can get an extra dose in. Rice/soup for dinner - looks like a laying low type of night in store
