Before I was diagnosed six months ago, I was at the low end of a healthy weight for my height. When I got UC I dropped 15lbs in one month and was unhealthily thin -I looked anorexic. Then they put me on Pred, and over the next several months I gradually gained the weight back. I am now back at my normal weight, but of course the Pred redistributed everything to my face, shoulders, and belly.
My question is, I know everyone says you'll automatically lose the moon face and extra weight once you stop Pred....But in my case I don't HAVE 'extra' weight, I just regained the weight I'd lost and am now back at my normal weight. I don't need to lose weight, I just need it to redistribute to where it belongs. Will it automatically redistribute once I'm off Pred, or am I screwed unless I lose 15lbs again?
So unfair...a year ago at this weight I had a chiseled chin and a collarbone. Now I look like a bloated fish.
