My father in law passed away on 1/25 after a 4 day hospital stay following a car accident. While my husband and I weren't very close to him, the bulk of the planning, etc has fallen on him (and me) and one of his siblings and the death of a parent has been hard on my husband.
I am feeling pretty stressed right now and have seen an increase in mucous, but no bleeding. I was using rowasa twice a week, bumped it to every other day while we were traveling (last Friday, came home yesterday) but I haven't seen any improvement or worsening in symptoms. I have enough to use it daily for a week or so and then scale back and my doctor told me to "play it by ear". I have been feeling pretty great and don't want to slip back into a flare up. Just wanted to get some of your thoughts, even though I am pretty much sold on a daily routine for the next week. Thanks!

No, you're not at all crazy to up your rowasa when you're stressed and seeing mucus. Rather, I'd say your being smart

Condolences to you and your family on your loss. I would up the dosage, stress is a known trigger and you have nothing to lose. I would want to nip it quickly before it heads bad. Good luck to you.

No, not crazy, I would up now for sure before things get out of control. Use nightly for at least a week until you are sure BMs look totally normal. When in doubt use enemas!!

I have two boxes of cortenemas, too. Perhaps I will use those a couple of times this week as well, they work so quickly.
Thanks for all your advice!
