Hi all
I have had symptoms of uc for around 3 1/2 weeks and I have been worried my symptoms are lower left pain diarrhoea with red blood which looks like clots also. My doctor said it looked like gastroenteritis and gave me antibiotics (cipro) about a week ago and I have had no improvement at night I get a really bad fever I feel like I can barely move but the fever goes normally in the morning but returns at night
I'm an 18 year old male my anxiety is through the roof I have always been like it for the past 4 years my weight was 8 1/2 stone before this I've now lost a stone in weight which I'm seriously underweight now and I'm worried to lose even more weight there's quite a bit of red blood with my diarrhoea and it normally drips like nosebleed afterwards

If anyone could give me advice it would be greatly appreciated thanks

Welcome to the forum. Blood in stool is usually a good reason to have your doctor to order a stool test to look for infectious causes to your symptoms (like c diff) and refer you to a gasteroenterologist-specialist doctor for a colonscopy with biopsies. It could be IBD like UC, an infection, or any number of things. It takes a number of tests and eliminating the various conditions with overlapping symptoms.

You're not improving, tell your doctor and see what's next.
