Advice on getting a Butyrate prescription

Hello... I'm new to this thread. 35 years Uc--currently
Proctitus flare up. Trying sodium butyrate enema( homemade-
The mesalamine enemas seem to make it worse. Somebody posted on here their NYC gastroenterologist who prescribes the butyrate. Can u please lmk who it is.. my current docs don't believe in it .. thank you so much.. I feel I do need to b followed on it.

I assume this prescription would involve taking butyrate orally? IF so, not sure it would get to its intended target in the colon lumen that way.

I have not heard of butyrate prescription but BodyBio sells butyrate capsules, or the best option is to get probiotic Miyarisan (available on ebay and Amazon, must be shipped from Japan), it produces butyrate in the gut.

but as a soil based probiotic, it may have different side effects. I can't say that I truly trust these soil based probiotics
