Very interesting soy. I think I read about this a while back but it was in syrup. They actually listed which had the highest content and I had that one in my house (gulp). Don't beat yourself up about not knowing...hard to keep up with all of the new things they discover. Next month they will say..it is bad for cancer but will cure MS..lol. I always say, just do things in moderation. BTW, glad you are better!!!

ya, you're right, it's hard to know what might be lurking around the next corner - it's just kinda scary eating much of anything these days - we can only make so many choices that we think are right - the rest is really up to "sh!t happens"

Status quo in the pants department I'm happy to say. As far as the link, I never drink soda so at least I'm clear there smile Even if this is old, it is a good reminder. I heard that soda could take paint off of a car so that did make me a little leary of it...lol.

Pepsi has a new 'clear' version in a test market in the US. It tastes like Pepsi, but looks like water. Not sure if it will go to full market though.

Thanks Soy, interesting stuff. Lucky for me I stopped drinking any soda after becoming ill a bazillion years ago. Though I did have a few sips of a very cold diet coke about a month ago. Tasted 'weird', but the carbonation felt pretty funky.

@Hateuc - if your car won't start, sometimes it's because the battery terminals are corroded over. One way to fix the issue is to just use sandpaper and clean them off and voila - like a new battery again. The other way if you don't have sandpaper and are stuck somewhere. Walk to gas station, buy a can of coke and pour it over the terminals. The acidity of it will degrade the corrosion enough to get it started again. I have some relatives from Costa-Rica that taught me this trick on the side of the road when I was stuck. They're a crafty bunch ;) It actually does work.
