Hi all....I'm having a flare. Is there ANYTHING that will stop the pain and cramping? I won't be able to see my doctor until sometime next week. I've been using Hyoscyamine under the tongue every 4 hours. Works but doesn't last 4 hours and mouth and eyes are super dry. Surely there is some drug that can just stop the cramping!! Thanks all for ANY advice. I take Delzicol-800mg., 4 times a day as well as Doxycycline-100mg, 4 x a day also. I was prescribed Clidinium in place of Doxycycline a while back. Both seem to help...but the pain is bad...as you guys know. Thanks again, Be safe and stay well. I forgot to mention..I've been taking Remicade infusions for 20 years without problems so far.

Sorry to hear you're flaring. Corticosteroids like prednisone are often the quickest way to relieve the worst symptoms of UC flares. Maybe call in to your doctor and ask for pred in advance of your appointment?

I'd ask for a infliximab/remicade serum trough (minimum) concentration and antibody test, to see if you've developed antibodies to remicade. Labcorp offers a generic test and Prometheus labs offers the original and pricey version. Also ask for a stool test to check for pathogenic causes to your symptoms.

Thanks ipoop, I tend to take you guys in this group for granted when I'm in remission. Sure is good to know I'm not alone in this 'crap' and that most of you are still here. Thanks again.

Just make sure it isn't pancreatitis you're masking with pain meds. Yeah I'm still here just like that ex who unexpectedly pops up in your social media feed haha
