Post colonoscopy misery question

I had my colonoscopy this afternoon, which in and of itself was uneventful. However, I have continued to have a fairly constant urge to go to the bathroom ever since I got home. I did the Miralax prep, which consisted of that plus ducolax yesterday and the bottle of Mag Citrate late this morning. Does anyone have any thoughts on if this is the aftermath of all of the laxatives and the magnesium still in effect? I do have active proctosigmoiditis right now, so I'm just not sure what to do to get comfortable...or when this will calm down enough to take my meds. Does anyone know how long the magnesium activates everything?? Thank you!!
