Mesalamine (Rawasa) enema side effect?

Hey guys,
I don't know if this is paranoia, but I swear that since about day 4 of my Mesalamine enema (4g/bottle solution) treatment my skin has been hurting (I'm now on day 12). Has anyone else had a side effect like this, or know why it might be happening? I'm not on prednisone right now.

No. I used Rowasa for months without​ any side effects.

And it wasnt at all before starting the enemas?
Where is your skin hurting specifically?

my hips and my butt. I have some stretch marks from prednisone over there, and the general area started hurting a few days into the enema treatment. Its like an itchy/stretching/fragile feeling feeling. Maybe its nothing but idk

You were just off the pred?

Pred makes my skin on my hips/butt feel like that. Like it's made of thin tissue paper lol.

I found that going heavy on the moisturizer helped a bit with the itchy feeling.

I doubt it is the prednisone.

No I haven't been on prednisone for years. I just wanted to note that I wasn't on it. I don't have a rash either

Try uso g it every second night and see if you notice a change in symptoms. Back issues can cause numbness.

I think you should inform your GP about that so see if you have anything else going on.

What supplements are you taking?

How long on the immuno meds?
