I stop by here to see what the news is often. I had to log in to see what my email was set to. I do not use that one much these days.
Short version
Anyway I can provide a brief history ( for the benefit of others ) after my bold claim I would never flare again. Short story is I flared because I had to abandon my own care and wellbutrin worked just like we have always been told it would. I have other health issues that needed my focus and with constant cuts at company and a new boss who has no tolerance for work-from-home I needed to stop all the careful adherence to my protocol so I studied and analyzed the choices and concluded Entyvio has zero risk of cancer being mainly non-systemic. I just passed a nuclear cardio stress test with flying colors on the treadmill and am bodybuilding every day and trying to pack on muscle.
Longer version and taking on my parents health issues abruptly.
Moved out of town while 700k home was built over 11 months, had access to bike trails, rode bikes with daughter every single day and was extremely careful with what I ate since we had 2 hours of commute time per day and I could not afford to flare. That worked and was confirmed by colonscopy.
We moved into our new home and it was such a popular area the nearby road was flooded with cars and converted to 4-lanes to connect to interstate. We hated the lack of bike trails and hated the noise, hilltops have epic views of the rockies but you get all the noise too.
5 months later I bought my 5th home in the same town backing to a creek and fairway with miles and miles of bike trails criss-crossing the golf course. We lived with zero furniture in case the expensive home failed to sell, it remained 'staged' and we loved the simpler life with fireplace and sleeping on the floor. The stress that it might not sell before the selling season ended wore on me, then an employee of mine took down a customer GLOBALLY and we were up for about 72 hours straight. I was not taking care of myself with two homes and a mess at work, I began to flare and each time I was shutting it down a new crisis began.
Two elderly adults plus on teenager
Then on one day last July I became financial and medical Power of Attorney for both parents. I had to cancel all of my own medical appointments to accommodate all of their appointments. I was living at two hospitals and eating at Arby's. My plan was out the window completely at this point. In order to work the natural plan your life has to be somewhat stable and not multiple titanic stressors. I put mother into a rest home and father in ICU, I modified my new home to accommodate him and he needed back and forth months of rehab hospitals because he continued to fall. They are 80. I had to constantly work with his mind to rebuild what was once a great man. Eventually we moved him back into his own home, the falls stopped, he began to pay all his bills, drive again and handle his own meds and was finally deemed competent by his neurologist. Quite an accomplishment since the NeuroPsychologist said he needed institutionalization like mother and 24x7 care. I simply was not going to give up on him. I ended up hiring and firing 7 attorneys and am still dealing with that on a nearly daily basis.
I turned to wellbutrin after the big house finally sold in June last year to halt the bleeding and it worked within 48 hours. I was rereading the 'Last_name here Protocol' Briggs Protocol I think. Not wanting this to ever interfere with my career or raising my daughter alone I started Entyvio last Christmas. Both parents have vascular dementia and with the mystery problem in my foot I had not run nor played tennis in 2 years making me likely for the same fate. I have now diagnosed it as a 'Mortons Neuroma' however literature says it is extremely unlikely where I have it so going back today for another dynamic sonogram and big needle. If that works I can have it surgically removed, run every day and never ever have vascular dementia.
Avoiding that is possible because I quit fighthing UC, again the natural method requires your life to stable and being 100% responsible for 3 other people 2 adults and one teenager disallows the natural method. My job is 24x7 oncall and that is bad enough without a wife in the mix to help.
2 previous stress tests were awful, this week the nuclear test was a breeze because I started training anyway, I can run without shoes uphill and on concrete and that is what I have done and not being anemic it was so easy I talked almost the entire time and could have gone much longer but this is only the beginning, once the neuroma is removed I will be pushing for being in better shape alongside continued weights as long as I am able to.
Entyvio
Psyllium seed for breakfast blended with protein shake
Occasional Qing Dai
Stockpile of Wellbutrin in case I need it.
Try and avoid sugar but consuming a lot of sucralose sports drinks
Consuming burger and chicken and veggies
I hope this helps someone.
