Meds wearing off every 6 months

Hey, um I've been on a couple different meds since I was diagnosed five years ago (10 in total) and was recently (March) put on Methotrexate, Lialda ( been on for about a year) and Folic acid (off and on) and it seems to be wearing off. Every 6 months whee I'm on a new med I spiral out of remission and hit a flare. I'm almost 15 and this life sucks. My parentals wont let me do remucade because of the side effects but everyone says I need it, even the MAYO clinic... if anyone has any suggestions or information that would be great. I'm just tired of feeling different than the other girls

I'm sorry OP. Sometimes it does suck very much. There are a lot of positive stories on here to read when feeling down.

I understand being anxious about Remicade, as a parent. I'm about to start it and a lot of research and reading stories really helped me feel better...maybe you can find some to show your parents? I know if it was my baby instead of me I'd be more scared. Im 33 and my own parents are freaking out right now!For me it comes down to I can't live like this, and not getting in remission can be just as bad long term. Have you guys had a really good talk about it?

i have been trying different things myself. they seem to work for a few months then stop. tried entyvio but that didn't work too. humira worked for a while but then stopped. doc thinks i developed antibodies for it so now i'm going to try remicade since humira worked for me but i'll be taking trexall that will prevent my system from adapting to remicade. i'm hoping this will work.
