Nothing has gotten me to remission in seven years.
But, when I am very strict with my diet I can get down to two or three bowel movements a day. I feel almost normal.
One of my keys is juicing.
It's my first meal of the day.
I think you're right, Mark. I think our bodies crave this stuff. We get very low in minerals. It is remarkable how many of the vitamins and minerals are necessary for our bodies to make neurotransmitters. Unless we give our bodies adequate copper, selenium, B6, pantothenic acid and much more, how can we possibly hope to let our bodies make the neurotransmitters that keep us happy AND digesting well. Yes, it is the serotonin in our guts that carries messages to our brains that we have pathogens or poisons in our guts.
On top of that we need the flavonoids in fruits and vegetables to bring down inflammation in our bodies and prevent cancer.
So, we can't digest fiber. But, we can't starve ourselves of nutrients, either.
I begin each day with a juice of fresh turmeric root, ginger root, cucumber, watermelon, celery, red cabbage (yes, cabbage juice!
), sweet potato, orange, apple, pineapple, and lemon.
