I very much wonder about
that, too, Nourse. Some pathogen that affects each of us in a different way, to different degrees.....I hope they perfect that "detection" SOON.
My sister sent me some information on some "medical medium" she thought I should go see. He has written a book, yada yada......well, after digging around a little but I saw that he actually plagiarized his concepts from another doctor. He believes the EBV was behind all of this. But since I know he stole the concepts I just have no desire to listen to a word he says now. Others believe MAP virus is behind it all.
Who knows. Maybe there are actually several different pathogens and we have a different offenders? hence the variety of outcomes and cures?
I am taking the approach of continual experimentation. I am going to follow the IBD-AID diet because quite frankly, it looks like the diet I planned on doing prior to this flare anyway. Wheat and most grains just seem sketchy. This idea allows for yogurt, hard cheeses, omega 3 eggs and oats. I think I can do this one.
@jerseyguy1.
I am going to follow this IBD-AID diet to reduce as much inflammation as possible (along with my probiotics and turmeric golden paste & ginger tea)......work on healing some
open emotional wounds to eradicate any guilt, shame, anger, resentments I have (reducing emotional inflammation, if you will)........I am going to continue to exercise in a way that my body feels rejuvenated by (but not overly stressed).......I am going to meditate daily, and work towards twice daily 20 min. mindfulness sessions with breathing as an anchor (to eradicate stress that leads to mental inflammation).......and I am going to stop reading this forum for awhile. I have been feeling too confused. The more I read, the more confused I seem to get.
That's my plan ! oh.....and I'll keep on with the "both ends approach" with my mesalamine. I am also tossing in some visualizations for good measure (I see the doctor telling me that my colonoscopy results render zero current inflammation).
Keep an
open mind......just not so
open your brains fall out. That's it in a nutshell ;-)
EDIT: this info on the diet I mentioned. More info on the IBD-AID website though with the exact directions on how to roll it out in 3 stages.
