Has anyone tried the vitamin b12 intramuscular injections?
I heard they're super painful and can hit the sciatic nerve??

If anyone has any tips or experience please share, kind of freaking out and posponing the injection (was supposed to start it a week ago)

I used to have weekly B12 injections with my naturopath but they didn't hurt. Could this be because they weren't intramuscular? And if it's unusual, why do they need to be intramuscular?

I used to get them every few months - as an intramuscular shot, but in my shoulder, like a flu shot.

And like with a flu shot, my shoulder sometimes would get a bit sore for a couple of days, but it wasn't anything bad.

I do them once or twice a month at home (prescribed by my doctor of course).

You give them to yourself in the top of your thigh so no risk of hitting your sciatic nerve (which is in your butt essentially). When I used to get them in the Dr.'s office, they did it in my arm, not my butt.

Mine don't hurt afterward, though I do bruise occasionally.

Ill try getting injected in my shoulder. I read somewhere that its less painful if theres more subcutaneous fat and then another site said the opposite. Not sure which to believe. But since you guys tried the injection then ill try my shoulder hope its not too painful. I hate needles and now my life revolves around blood tests and iv cannulas and now intramuscle injections 💔
