son flaring on pred

Hi all,
i am trying to see if anyone has had this issue-son is on lialda 4pills daily, 6mp 1 pill daily and recently began humira from 1 shot every 2 weeks to 1 shot every week. doc said that being that he is a big guy the med isn't enough. also he is in a major flare, on prednisone 40mg has improved with the bm's to about 3-4 per day but has recently seen blood in tp and once in toilet. Of course it's driving me crazy but he is dealing with it. Doc said that since its only been 1 week since we changed to humira weekly it still needs time. Had blood work to make sure antibodies and not an issue and that's when she said that there isn't enough meds in his system for 2 week dose. any info would be appreciated.

I was genuinely thinking the same thing myself about 2 hours ago , I'm 6 ft 6 and about 20 stone , so I've been think is what I'm prescribed enough to make a difference when considering my size

What are you currently taking? are you in a flare also?

Firstly im probably completely different ....

I was Dxd with Crohns Colitis around 2013 and was bad for a few months, blood / mucus / urgency ... flared regularly.

Was completely fine for about 3 - 4 years until about a year ago when I started a flare, think the bottom of my colon has healed but the top and right hand side are inflamed now because I am passing 3 - 4 stools a day, fairly solid, only issue is painful stomach and some blood around stool which is maroon in colour.

But ..... I was taking 1 salofalk sachet a day , 3g's and one pentasa suppository every evening.

The last year of my life has been a flare sad !

Im now on pred foam enema and pred supp .... im sticking with salofalk sachet as well!

When was the last time he had a stool test?
