Red bumps from Remicade?

Hello,
I've had 4 infusions now with Remicade and am now noticing little red bumps on my back and now small bumps kinda like acne on my face.
You cant see some of them but I can feel them on my face and neck.

I've never had acne or bumps on my face before.....so??

Should I be concerned?

100% symptom free since starting Remicade.
Just got off Prednisone about a month ago.

Do they itch or hurt?

I'd ask your primary care physician (also known as a general practitioner)or a dermatoligist-specialist about them.

We're much more prone to having skin issues as uc patients: dry itchy skin, rashes, contact-dermatitis, exzema, and psoriasis. Perhaps look those up in an image search and see if the pattern or appearance is similar.

I had contact-dermatitis a while back as an immune over reaction or allergy to the harsh soap and shampoo i was using. Using very mild stuff cleared it up. You can consider that. Try taking an antihistamine like claritin or benadryl. You can try a hydrocortisone anti-itch cream to fight certain types of rashes.

Are you itchy?

I’d reach out to your GI and ask about the bumps.

You could try an antihistamine if it’s an allergic reaction.

I’m only speculating but it could be an issue from the Prednisone use. It can mess with your immune system and hormones.

No not itchy at all.
