Naltrexone questions.

Hi, I'm wondering about LDN. I did some googling on the matter and am currently working my way to obtain some and try the method(it seems to be hard to get in my country, which is Turkey) but I am wondering; how is it being received by the science people? Are there any trials to determine whether it works or not on autoimmune diseases or is it in any way close to being regarded as a legitimate way to cure these diseases? Can we establish a success rate based on the success stories of people? If we can, how is it, compared to biologics, immunomodulators and standard mesalamine medications?

By the way, if I can obtain some, I know I must start with 0.5-1 mg dosage and increase slowly but is the consumption method important? Can I just add it to water or should I take as capsules or something to make it go all way to the intestines without being broken down by the enzymes? And lastly, for how long should I take it before expecting any results or saying that it failed for me?
