Like anything else with murine models dds induced colitis, most things seem to work.
This seems to be a slightly different approach using a protein with limited digestion
in the small intestine,so it gets to the colon.
May have some good effects on gut bugs that can digest it in the colon.
Whether it really works on human UC I guess remains to be tested.

In the methods at the back "Next, the cells were further conditioned in the medium supplemented with 1 and 2 mg/mL of ESM (ALMADO, Tokyo, Japan) fine powder for 24 h". My guess is start there, although it doesn't seem to be a product as such, and may not be the correct strength for adults.
