Hey guys,
Quick brief summary. Had my 2nd flare in the space of a year a few months back. Was only a "minor " flare as such with going 4/5 times a day and the usual symptoms etc. The 1st flare was eventually combatted with a small dose of Pred ( 30MG) 6 week course and it eventually put me in remission. 3 months later ( current flare ) unfortunately the flare come back ( minor again ). Tried the usual enema route etc which calmed the flare but just couldn't get rid so went back on the same 30 MG small dose of pred to rid of it.
I'm currently now down to 15MG pred. Now I'm only going once a day in the morning now. No urgency anymore during the day and can eat pretty much as much as I want which is great. Only problem is I still feel I'm not completely in remission like last time. Whilst my stools are now pretty much solid, there is still that Colitas like liquid residue in the toilet and on my tissue after wiping. When I'm in full remission I have none of this. I'm just a little bit worried as although I'm happy that I'm pretty much on the mend, but it's still lingering amd somewhere it could easily be triggered and come back as I'm not in full 100% remission. Has anyone had this before ? Where they pretty much feel in remission but still feel it slightly lingering so not fully in remission. I'm currently on the highest dose of Asacol and 175MG of Aza at the moment FYI
