2nd iron infusion done

I had one last week and it made me sickish, felt like my stomach was bruised for three days and it just erupted my whole gut. I ended up in ER, because my vaga nerve and my pulse would not come down. That was a few days after my infusion.I read where it can give you anxiety a few days after and lower your blood pressure. The doc said the vaga nerve thing can lower your blood pressure and then your body fights to bring it up by raising your pulse. I pray to GOD this doesn't happen again!! I have Xanax on hand should this through me into like a panic thing again.

Not sure of the name, ironfernject maybe? On this second infustion, she gave me a bag of fluid to go with it. My stomach doesn't hurt like last weeks infusion. My stomach felt like it was bruised for three days. This one has been MUCH better! I took a laxative too with it for the two day.

My bleeding is gone. This is just amazing to me.

I'm back on the Brand name ASACOL HD, just starting today. I was on the generic. I asked the doc to switch me, because 14 ago I went into what my doc called remission with asacol and rowasa. I was still having urgency, but no blood. He did a scope and said he saw no ulcers and I could get off meds. Two days after that major bleeding and from there it NEVER stopped. I should never go stopped the medication.

I don't have a TON of energy or anything like that, I think that comes over time. I'm back on a multivitamin too. Just things that I couldn't take before because everything killed my guts.

I'm happy to be able to get good rest and function the next day without laying in bed in pain and crying. I had a month of that with a bad flare and then xeljanx killing me. I will not try another biologic.
